Braga, a lively city
Braga is a national reference city for events and conferences, not only because of its privileged geographic location but also because of the logistical conditions it offers.
It is located at a just 40 minutes car ride from Porto International Airport and 60 minutes from Vigo's International Airport. It is 10 minutes away from the main highway that serves Braga, the A3. Traffic problems hardly exist in Braga. It is close to the sea, the Atlantic Ocean, with crucial ports to the Portuguese and European economy.
Braga is the third-largest city in Portugal, after Lisbon and Porto. Considered to be one of the youngest European cities, the city combines perfectly its two- thousand-year old History with an invigorating youth and vitality.
The city has attracted more and more interest in new segments: Religious and Cultural Tourism, Business Tourism, City Breaks and Gastronomy and Wine. As a consequence, Braga was nominated for “The Best European Destination 2019” competition, being the only Portuguese city among the 20 European finalists for this prestigious award.
